Jamie is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas with a heart for helping individuals and families navigate life’s complexities. Her journey into the counseling field is rooted in a deep commitment to education and advocacy—reflected in her 23 years of experience in public education, where she served in a variety of special educator roles. This background has equipped her with a profound understanding of diverse learning needs, emotional development, and the importance of individualized care.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, in 1998, and continued to expand her training through graduate studies in clinical mental health at Lamar University, earning her degree in May 2025. Jamie brings both compassion and clarity to her practice, drawing from decades of hands-on experience and a heartfelt belief in the potential of each person she works with.
Her counseling approach is warm, thoughtful, and centered on helping clients feel truly seen and supported. Whether she’s walking alongside someone through a challenging season, empowering families to strengthen their bonds, or advocating for neurodivergent individuals, Jamie is dedicated to fostering growth, healing, and hope in every therapeutic relationship.
