Begin Praying for Our Chest of Joash Day

In the days ahead, our church family will share in a special moment together known as the “Chest of Joash.”

In 2 Kings 12, the people of God brought their offerings and placed them in a chest so the temple of the Lord could be repaired. Each gift became part of restoring a place where future generations would worship and encounter God.

In a similar way, we will soon celebrate a special Chest of Joash Sunday on May 3rd, when we will be invited to place pledge cards in a collection chest—a commitment to give toward the repair and renewal of our facilities.

These commitments will represent what each of us senses God leading us to give over the next three years, allowing us to plan faithfully and move forward together.

For now, we simply ask you to begin praying.

Pray that God would guide our church in wisdom.

Pray that He would provide what is needed.

And pray that He would prepare each of our hearts to respond in faith and generosity.

Over the coming days, ask the Lord:

“How would You have me participate over the next three years?”
