Kendra Sullivan
Kendra is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and serves as the Clinical Director at Sagemont Counseling Center, where she has spent her career investing in the emotional and spiritual well‑being of others. She earned her Master of Arts in Christian Counseling from Houston Baptist University in 2010. Before entering the counseling field, Kendra worked as an elementary school teacher, an experience that continues to inform her understanding of development and family systems.
Central to Kendra’s work is the belief that every person is uniquely created in the image of God and equipped with a remarkable capacity for resilience. She delights in helping individuals feel truly known—believing that healing often begins when someone feels seen, understood, and supported. Kendra is especially passionate about working with young adults and women as they navigate identity, transitions, relationships, and the emotional complexities of modern life. Her clinical interests include mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and the internal patterns that shape personal and spiritual formation.
Kendra also brings a deep curiosity for neuroscience into her work, integrating current research on the brain and nervous system to help clients understand their emotional responses, build resilience, and experience lasting change. She welcomes the integration of biblical principles alongside these evidence‑informed approaches. As Clinical Director, Kendra finds great joy in supervising and mentoring many of the counselors within the practice, fostering their growth as they care for others.
Born and raised in Houston, Kendra is married and a mom of five children, giving her a firsthand understanding of the joys, complexities, and refining resilience of family life. She and her husband are actively involved in the local church, where they enjoy serving and supporting their community. Kendra loves nourishing others through good food and meaningful conversations, and you can often find her running, swimming, or planning her next travel adventure.
