Life can bring seasons of hardship, but no one should have to walk through them alone. The Helping Hands Ministry at Sagemont is here to offer practical support, encouragement, and the love of Christ to families and individuals in our church and community.
The Helping Hands Ministry consists of three avenues of assistance for families or individuals:
- Food pantry. We offer food boxes for those who need extra help with groceries.
- Limited emergency financial assistance with rent or utilities. Financial assistance appointments are on Tuesdays only.
- Clothing closet with baby items, clothing, shoes for ages 0-18.
Photo I.D. and current utility bill will be required to receive assistance from Helping Hands.

FOOD PANTRY NEEDS
We need your help! The food pantry is always in need of more food. All donations can be dropped off at the grocery baskets around the church or at the Sagemont Annex across the street.
The following items help us make one box of food for people who walk in our doors.
- 2 cans of vegetables
- 2 cans of beans
- 2 cans of fruit
- 2 cans of soup
- 2 cans of meat
- 2 cans of meals (Ravioli, chili, etc.)
- 1 Spaghetti Sauce
- 4 boxes of Hamburger Helper
- 1 bag of rice
- 1 bag of beans
- 1 bag of pasta
- 3 ramen cups
- 1 box of cereal
- 1 jar of peanut butter
- 1 jar of jelly
Imagine the impact we can make together. Through our Local Missions department, Helping Hands packs around 1,560 boxes of food every year. That’s 1,560 opportunities to reach out, not just with physical nourishment, but with spiritual support. Many of the individuals who receive these boxes do not attend Sagemont Church. They come to us in need, and we have the chance to be the hands and feet of Christ in their lives. This is more than just providing food; it’s about offering hope, building relationships, and sharing the love of Jesus with those who may have never stepped foot in our church. By supporting this mission, you are not only feeding bodies but also planting seeds of faith that can transform lives. Let's continue to be a beacon of hope in our community, reaching out to those who need it most.
