Associate Pastor of Worship & Praise
God calls us to worship as a family (Hebrews 10:24). We do that as we gather on Sundays and Wednesdays. Our gatherings or services are times where we proclaim the greatness of God, sing songs of redemption, and learn more of God’s Word. These services are important to the life of our church. They allow us opportunities to come together and let our praise resound from overflowing hearts. We do not come to sit and be spectators. We come to offer our best praise and thanksgiving to God who has given us everything. The Sagemont Worship and Praise Ministry is responsible to create these services along with the teaching pastors of our church. We also produce other programs through the year that are designed to glorify God.
The Worship Choir at Sagemont is made up of many volunteers who give their time and talent each week in an effort to bring a praise and worship to our King. The choir meets Wednesday evenings at 7:15 in the Choir Room (WC 1127) for a time of rehearsal and worship as they prepare to lead in our worship services on Sunday mornings. This choir also presents seasonal productions and recordings for outreach. Made up of an assortment of people from all ages, musical abilities and walks of life, the Worship Choir is a true cross section of our church, and an incredible family who loves each member deeply. Everyone is invited to sing in the choir. No audition is required. For more information on how to join, contact .
The Praise Team is a small group of dedicated people called to lead every Sunday morning in the worship services and in our Wednesday night gatherings. Members sing on a rotating basis and rehearse Wednesday evenings. This is an auditioned team, and only members of the choir who have been members of Sagemont for a minimum of 6 months are allowed to audition. Contact for more information.
“Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and the harp! Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with high sounding cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 150:3-6 NKJV)
So we do. The Sagemont Orchestra loves making music as we worship our Lord. This group is made up of volunteers from every skill level from high school through professional musician. We play in worship services most Sunday mornings as well as special productions. There is no audition required to play, but orchestra members must be of at least high school age. Rehearsals are at 7:30 Wednesday evenings in the Orchestra Room (WC1200). We are always seeking new musicians to join us in lifting loud praises to our King, so please contact if you are interested in joining us.
We use a team of volunteers in each of our services to lead worship as they play guitars, drums, and bass. If you are a skilled musician, we welcome you to come audition for the team! Contact for more information or to set up an audition.
We desire to give worship, honor, and glory to God and to serve Him simply for who He is by expression of dance. We seek to provide a setting where Christian dancers can use their gift to glorify Jesus Christ. Our mission is to completely surrender to the Lord so that He can use our movement to convey truth to believers and non-believers. We commit to excellence in the presentation of dance. We choose to use our God-given gifts to heal, edify, and strengthen people as well as to reclaim the art of dance from the secular world. Above all, scripture is our final authority. We will uphold Sagemont’s core values and beliefs and provide living proof of a loving God to a watching world.
