Andy earned his Master of Arts degree in Psychology from Houston Baptist University in 1987 and is currently accumulating supervised practicum/internship counseling hours to apply for state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). Like his Sagemont Counseling colleagues, Andy believes that every person is uniquely and wonderfully created in the image of God. His area of counseling interest includes working with adults who are dealing with depression and anxiety by helping them redirect the source of their self-esteem from their work or events that happen to them, to who they actually are - precious children of the Father, unconditionally loved, accepted, and forgiven. His counseling focus meshes well with Sagemont Counseling's - Biblically-based and Christ-centered application of well-established clinical therapeutic techniques. An avid musician since childhood, Andy sings in his church choir and plays trombone in a local variety band and in brass ensembles during Christmas and Easter seasons. He has been married to his loving wife Carolyn Turner for 10 years, and they love being dog parents.
