BATMEN Needed!
Tonight in Houston, children in over 40%
of the homes will go to be without the
"dad" in the house. There are thousands
of boys (and girls) growing up with no
positive male role model in their lives.
To help with this situation, the Men's
Ministry has established "BATMEN".
BAT is an acronym for Boys And
Truth. Of course, truth is a
person (Jesus Christ). The goals of
BATMEN are:

To provide a godly father figure for
boys of singles moms
-
To lead boys to Christ
-
To improve the boy's life by
providing hope and encouragement, if
only for a few hours

To get boys connected to Sagemont
Church
Here
is how BATMEN works:
-
Men sign up to be BATMEN
through the Men's Ministry (MM)
office (281-481-8770).

Men are connected to boys that have
registered for the BATMEN
ministry through the MM office.

Men take the boy to some event, go
for a walk, bowling, get a
hamburger, etc.
-
To be eligible for the BATMEN
ministry ALL men must have a
background check and be approved.
-
BATMEN pay for everything.
Some events are individual others
are MM sponsored.
-
There must be a minimum of 2
BATMEN and 2 boys for each
activity.
-
BATMEN may be involved in as much or
as little BATMEN ministry as
they desire.
