Mike has over
twenty years of
professional
counseling
experience.
Prior to
assuming the
leadership role
of the Sagemont
Counseling
Ministry, he
served as the
President of
Rapha, a
nationally known
Christian
counseling
organization. In
addition to
being an
ordained
minister, Mike
is certified by
the State of
Texas as a
Licensed
Professional
Counselor,
Licensed
Marriage and
Family
Therapist, and
Clinical
Supervisor. He
earned the
Master of
Divinity degree
from
Southwestern
Baptist
Theological
Seminary in
1986, and
graduated with a
Master of
Science degree
in Guidance and
Counseling from
Missouri State
University in
1982. Mike works
primarily with
adults, and
while having
clinical
expertise in a
variety of areas
(i.e.
depression,
anxiety,
obsessive
compulsive
disorder, sexual
addiction, etc.)
he specializes
in marriage
counseling. Mike
and his wife,
Laurie, have
been married for
twenty-three
years, and have
three children:
Stephen (21),
Mark (19) and
Michaela (7). |

Linda D. Boone,
MS
Licensed
Professional
Counselor
Linda has been
on staff at
Sagemont as a
Licensed
Professional
Counselor and
Small Group
Coordinator
since 1996. As a
counselor, she
enjoys working
with couples on
marital issues
and with
individuals that
have difficulty
setting limits
and boundaries
in difficult
relationships.
Linda also
specializes in
family of origin
issues,
depression, and
anger. She
emphasizes the
use of Biblical
principles and
prayer. While
regularly
leading a number
of support
groups herself,
she also
provides ongoing
training for
other small
group
facilitators. In
addition to
maintaining
continuing
education in her
related field,
Linda’s
educational
background
includes two
Master’s
Degrees. She
spent a number
of years in the
public and
private school
systems, but
feels counseling
is her true
passion. |

C. Huston
McComb, MA
Licensed
Professional
Counselor
Huston has been
a counselor at
Sagemont
Church’s
Counseling
Center since
March of 2000.
In addition to
being a Licensed
Professional
Counselor, he is
an ordained
minister and has
been licensed to
the Gospel
Ministry since
1997. Huston’s
graduate
education
includes a
Master’s Degree
in Professional
Counseling from
Lindenwood
University in
1997. In
addition he is
currently
working on a
second Master’s
Degree in
Christian
Education at
Southwestern
Baptist
Theological
Seminary.
Huston works
with both men
and women, and
specializes in
the areas of
sexual addiction
and abuse,
depression, and
anger
management. He
also has an
extensive
background in
marital
counseling and
enjoys helping
couples see
God’s plan for
their marital
relationship. In
addition to
providing
individual,
family and
couples
counseling,
Huston currently
leads a
specialized
support group
for men
struggling with
a variety of
sexual issues.
He has also
served on the
leadership team
of the Men’s
Fraternity at
Sagemont Church
since its
inception in
March of 2005.
Huston has a
passion for
evangelism and
he prays for
opportunities to
share the
message of
Christ through
his counseling.
His counseling
philosophy is
built upon
biblical
principles, and
based upon
prayer,
integrated with
sound
psychological
principles.
Huston and his
wife, Debbie,
have been
married for
twenty-one years
and have two
children: Leah
(15) and Mark

Debra Thompson,
MA, RN
Licensed
Professional
Counselor
Debra holds a
Bachelor of
Science in
Nursing and a
Master of Arts
in Behavioral
Sciences. She
has been
licensed as a
Professional
Counselor since
1983. As a
Registered
Nurse, she
specialized in
pediatric and
psychiatric
nursing, and has
worked in
several
inpatient
psychiatric
treatment
centers. As a
counselor, she
specializes in
working with
children,
adolescents,
young adults and
families coping
with their
children’s
disruptive
behavior
problems. Debra
has been working
as a counselor
at Sagemont
since May, 2001.
She is married
with two
daughters. |

Jim Laucher,

Family Therapist
Jim is an
ordained
minister and
holds two
Master's
degrees:
Marriage and
Family
Counseling, and
Christian
Education. He
has been
involved in
Christian family
ministry and
pastoral care
ministry for
over twenty
years. Jim’s
faith,
experience and
training equip
him in several
areas: marriage,
parenting,
pre-marriage,
remarriage,
pre-remarriage,
vocation,
addiction, loss,
depression and
divorce. He
views the
client/counselor
relationship as
a partnership
through which he
helps clients:
(1) come to a
deeper
understanding of
the challenges
they are facing,
(2) discover and
select treatment
options and
goals, (3) feel
encouraged and
accountable in
working toward
the goals, (4)
recognize and
overcome
obstacles to
progress, and
(5) know when
counseling is
finished. Jim is
married and has
three grown
children. |

Jamie Daughdrill,

Jamie has a
Bachelor of Arts
in Psychology
and a Master of
Arts in
Counseling, and
is a Licensed
Professional
Counselor and
Licensed
Marriage &
Family
Therapist.
During her
education, she
has had a lot of
experience
working with
children and
adolescents at
schools in the
Waco area. She
has also worked
with many
pregnant teens
and women, as
well as those
looking for
abuse recovery
in Dallas. Jamie
primarily works
with children,
adolescents,
families,
couples and
anyone who has
experienced
abuse. |
