Our Philosophy

The preschool years are years of wonder and discovery! They should be filled with fun and exciting opportunities for young children to satisfy their natural curiosity about the world around them! Our early childhood program provides preschoolers with age-appropriate activities that allow them to do just that in a safe and emotionally nurturing environment. We also believe that children first learn about God through the people around them. Therefore, we want them to experience the love of God through their caring teachers. We integrate spiritual concepts and practices into their activities in order to provide a biblical foundation for the rest of their lives.

Enrollment

Enrollment in Playschool is for the period of one school year (September - May). Enrollment is on a first come first served basis. Once all spaces are filled, a waiting list will be maintained. For specific information on availability for your child, please contact the Playschool Office at 281/481-8770 ex. 2620.

To enroll, complete the registration packet in the AdventureLand Ministry Office and pay the $75.00 non-refundable registration fee. The last month’s (May) non-refundable tuition will be due at registration. The first month’s tuition is due the first Thursday of class in September.

Monthly Tuition is as Follows:

Tuition is due on the first Thursday of each month regardless of attendance.

Two-Five year olds will come Mondays and Thursdays. There will no longer be a one day option.

About Our Program

We believe that children learn through play, exploration, and discovery. Therefore, our early childhood program utilizes a center-based approach where children have the opportunity to explore activities in learning centers such as art, puzzles and games, blocks, books, dramatic play, and science and math. Our program incorporates the Wee Learn curriculum, a Bible-based curriculum divided into thematic units as well as activities to teach the beginnings of literacy. Our preschoolers visit one of our indoor playgrounds each day and a literature room once a week, as well as a music and movement room. We also offer an optional tumbling class for an additional fee during the last 45 minutes of the day through Tumbling Stars. In addition to these weekly activities, we incorporate monthly special activity days.

Our classrooms are staffed by Christian teachers who have a heart for young children and view it as a true ministry. They are trained in meeting the needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We use the following teacher/student ratios as our guideline:
