Before a 2007 Sagemont Mission Trip to the Philippines, a need arose for special medication for a little girl there with copper poisoning. As Sagemont Members often do, when a need is seen, we must try to fill it. With God’s help, the girl’s need was met and the family was ministered to.

Andre' Johnson was in prison 27 years out of his 54. He had a life of wrong decisions and choices. It took being sent to the prison hospital and a visit from a volunteer giving him a Bible to force him to evaluate his life and make a change. Dealing With Doubt June 08, 2008 Dr. John D. Morgan, Senior Pastor 1 John 5:13 When one looks at themselves it is easy to doubt their salvation or doubt if it is even possible for them to be saved. However, when we look to Jesus and the promises of His Word, our doubts will vanish and joy will appear.

We make a big mistake when we ignore the real problems of life that we must deal with in real life.

The freedoms we take for granted every day are under assault. Speaking freely to someone about our faith in Jesus, being able to have Christmas parties in schools and weather an unborn child has a right to live. The Sagemont supported Free Market Foundation and Kelly Shackleford are in court rooms across the country defending our constitutional rights.

Rick and Brenda Spencer were evacuees to Houston during the Katrina storm. After living in Houston for about a month, they moved back to their undamaged home in the New Orleans area. But after 6 months, they realized that basic groceries and supplies were not available. Most importantly, medical services were also not available for their special needs daughter. The family needed to relocate, and Rick’s company allowed them to transfer to the Houston area.

After transferring to Deep Park, Brenda searched the Internet for a church with special needs Bible study class. Sagemont’s Promiseland class was at the top of the list. After visiting, they realized that God had provided not only a church home for their daughter, but also for 19 year old son to play guitar in the Awaken service and the Blend service for themselves.

Bill Cole tells his story of his upbringing and how, even though he was in full-time ministry, he realized that the most important thing was that he needed Christ. Bill also describes how we are to be worshipers of God everyday in everything we do.

This is special edition of Real Life. Stuart Rothberg leads a discussion with Dr. Labib Habashy, a Houston OB/GYN & Sagemont member, and Lynda LaCompte also a Sagemont member and Executive Director of Act of Life. In today’s program they discuss pregnancy, abortion, adoption and the ministry of a Crisis Pregnancy Center. After the discussion, we go the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Friendswood to see first hand the ministry to women there.

Sagemont has an iConnect Class for a very important group of adults. The Special Friends class is for special needs adults. This class meets every Sunday and studies the Bible just like a regular iConnect class. Also, just like any other class, they meet for retreats and fellowship. The Special Friends class gathered at the Danbury Retreat center for a weekend of fellowship, fishing and fun. Along the way, they listened to the Word of God and learned more about Him. These people love the Lord and everyone is special to Him.

Each year the Women’s Ministry of Sagemont Church, does an extreme makeover of an area school’s Teachers Lounge. About 5-10 women gather together and clean and redecorate this area of the school where a teacher can take a break and relax. We get to hear what this means to the teachers and to those who participate in the makeover itself.

God’s prophets are given the responsibility of warning God’s people of the dangers that Satan puts in their pathway. God’s instructions to his people are to stay alert and not be deceived. Wisdom comes from God and is a gift to His people. America needs God’s people praying and doing all they can do to walk in holiness before a nation that is vulnerable to the power and weapons of the evil one.
