God warned Adam and Eve that there would be consequences if they disobeyed and ignored His warnings. God continues to warn man that he will be held responsible for his choices, whether good or bad. Two judgments await man after death. One is for the believers and followers of Jesus and the other is for those who reject the gift of eternal life offered to all people.

Accepting the Biblical prophecy of the certainty of the imminent return of Jesus to the earth motivates us to be prepared for this glorious event. Delaying to prepare could result in disaster for you and those you love.

His birth, His life, His death, His resurrection and His ascension are the most meaningful and exciting events of history. But the best is yet to come. His return, according to scriptures, is the glorious hope of every believer. Are you ready and are you looking forward to that day? God’s Word brings clear light on this event and what we can expect to see before, during and after this promise from the God of Heaven is fulfilled.

Fear also leads to doubt. Thomas was a disciple that could not live by faith alone, he needed some facts that would satisfy his inquisitive mind. How can we know for sure that Jesus is the Savior and our sins are forgiven? There is a three way test.
 

Jesus In His Rightful Place
Fear is always opposite of faith. Why would anyone be afraid of finite man when he knows personally a resurrected messiah and savior? On the night of the resurrection, a few of the disciples experienced what all of us will experience if Jesus shows up in our midst.

God is in control and His will on earth is to be done as His will is being done in Heaven. He chooses to use us as facilitators of His will and His way. He works as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and we are to work with each other, allowing us to do things collectively that we could never accomplish alone.

Our view of God will determine our behavior. If we do not have a right concept of God, why should we expect our behavior to be pleasing unto Him. Our moral, political and relational actions are determined by our concept of God.

Government addresses our medical problems with a program of making sure we provide medical care to everybody. God’s Word teaches us how to stay healthy by teaching us how to live our lives avoiding Satan’s traps that destroy our health and the health of those around us. Our Creator knows what is required to operate our bodies.

God has a way of turning bad into good. Everything He ever touched changed for the better. When we confess our need and confess that we do not know how to meet our needs, God takes over and shows us His ways are higher and better. His success rate is 100%.

All have sinned. All have suffered because of their sin. But God has provided a way for ALL men everywhere to be saved and forgiven. The gift of salvation is for all but all must receive the gift to be saved.

Sin is real and sin is costly, who can deny it? All must realize the seriousness of this fact and search for some real answers based on scriptural truth. Man cannot handle the sin problem alone. Once the problem is identified, a search for the solution can begin. God has the answer and the solution. His love for man motivated Him to send His son Jesus to the world to bring a gift that, if received, will bring an eternal solution to the problem. However, the gift offered must be willingly received. Man has a choice.

Have you ever heard anyone ask, “How much does sin cost?” We seem to easily yield to the temptation to sin and never stop and ask “How much is this act of disobedience to God going to cost me?” Sin will always lead you further than you plan to go, keep you there longer than you planned to stay, and cost you more than you were planning to pay. It affects believers and non-believers.

When scripture uses the word “all,” it means “all.” An example is: Romans 3:23 “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” If scripture says “none,” it means “none.” An illustration of this is Romans 3:10 “There is none righteous, no, not one.” If we are going to solve our problem, we need to know the problem. The Bible clearly defines the problem.

God left heaven and became flesh in order for man to have a new life. The great New York Yankee catcher, Yogi Berra, said, “When you come to the fork in the road, take it.” For life to be what the Creator and Savior intended it to be, there is a new beginning required. The Bible calls it a new birth. With a new life comes a new beginning, and because of the coming of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, we can live the life that brings joy and contentment as well as a life that pleases God.

The one attribute of Jesus that is an imperative is the “compassion.” When the believer invites Jesus into their life, the compassion of Christ through us can become a reality. Without it everything we say and do is “sounding brass and tinkling cymbals.”

The greatest blessing God affords man is the opportunity to have an intimate, personal relationship with Him. When we understand who we are because of Christ, we receive and accept all that comes our way as a blessing. All of life is about Him and how He reveals Himself in us.

Our God is ultimate truth. His character provides no room for lies. He demands of His followers the same. He hates a lying tongue and a false witness from a follower. Satan is the father of lies and there is no truth in him. Do we believe the One who is ultimate truth or do we choose to be deceived by the master deceiver and the persona of lies?

God created man to be loved - not to be killed or destroyed. God loves us in order to help meet our need but He also instructs us to love one another. Our actions, our words, and our attitude toward those in need of life should be like those of Jesus, God's Son.

God gave ten requirements to every nation and person that wants to be blessed. The first four reveal to us how to get right with God, and then the last six show us how to respond to each other. Before we can treat others the way God requires, we must make things right in our relationship to our father and mother.

God took time to rest from the labor of His creation. Jesus knew the importance of taking time to rest. He took time to get alone with God and He also took time each week to go to the temple to worship with believers. God requires the same of us. It affects all we do. His word to us is to take a day every week to worship and rest. You will be glad you did!

Nothing catches the ear of God like the sound of His name. When it is honored, God is blessed. When it is profaned, God is angered. What is the problem with us? Are we uninformed of God's Word? Are our tongues out of control? Maybe we use God's name in vain because we have never known and loved God as our Lord and Savior.

God has created nothing that is worthy of our worship. He is greatly disturbed when we create something that becomes an object of worship that, in our mind, possesses God-like powers. The temptation to disobey this authoritative word is all around us.

Humility is not easy for our sinful nature. Pride is automatic but humility is difficult and requires energy and caution. The tempter is even more proud when he can get a child of God to quit striving to emulate the humility of Christ but rather take on the pride of Satan. Micah 6:8

We choose either to take charge of our life or allow others to control us. From a biblical perspective, self control is not doing our own self-imposed selfish will but rather knowing the will of God for our life and willfully submitting to it. God's mind, heart and will permeates every area of our life and good and meaningful things begin to happen. Philippians 4:13

As a Christian, what is God's will for our lives? What are we supposed to do with the time God gives us here on earth? Listen in as we open God's word and engage the Apostle Paul's very clear instruction.

God gives us the privilege and responsibility to make choices, and choosing right relationships is a priority. If we make a mistake in choosing our Savior and God, all other relational decisions will be hindered. God’s Word shows us how.

All of us can make choices based on our temporal gratification or we can choose to make spiritual victory our priority. Rather than attempting to please ourselves, we choose to glorify God with our lives and by doing so receive blessings beyond our dreams and imaginations. The key is obedience to the Word, which results in real victory.

Liberty never guarantees freedom. Freedom comes when a person uses their liberty to make right choices. God's Word clearly teaches us how to make right choices. We can make our choices but the choices we make will determine the consequences that will occur.

All of us have experiences that make us ask the question, "Where is God?" Everything that happens is caused by God or allowed by God. If we cannot see Him, is He not there?

Is it possible for a person to ever change? Can one become so ingrained in a behavioral pattern that is in conflict with God's will in their life to ever make a decision and come up with a way to do the will of God in their life? The Bible says nothing is too hard for God! Change is indeed possible but one must be willing to make the right choices.
