Our Philosophy

The preschool years are years of wonder and discovery! They are filled with fun and exciting opportunities for young children to satisfy their natural curiosity about the world around them! Our program provides preschoolers with age-appropriate activities that allow them to do just that in a safe and nurturing environment. We also believe that children first learn about God through the people around them. Therefore, we want them to experience the love of God through their caring teachers. We integrate spiritual concepts and practices into their activities in order to provide a biblical foundation for the rest of their lives.

About Our Program

We believe that children learn through play, exploration, and discovery. Our program utilizes a center-based approach where children have the opportunity to explore activities in learning centers such as Art, Puzzles and Games, Blocks, Books, Dramatic Play, Science, and Math. We incorporate the Wee Learn curriculum, a Bible-based curriculum divided into thematic units as well as activities to teach the beginnings of literacy. Our toddlers and preschoolers visit one of our indoor playgrounds each day.

On Mondays, our preschoolers attend Chapel. This is a fun-filled time that our children learn about Christ through puppets, songs, and memory verses. Also, on Mondays they attend Story class. Each week our children learn about a specific theme and story teacher integrates age-appropriate books for each class.

On Thursdays, children go to Music and Movement class. During this class, they focus on strengthening large motor skills through physical activities. We also offer an optional tumbling class for an additional fee through Tumbling Stars. In addition to these weekly activities, we incorporate monthly specialty days too.

Our classrooms are staffed by Christian teachers who have a heart for young children and view it as a true ministry. They are trained in meeting the needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We use the following student/teacher ratios as our guideline:

• 13 – 23 months 1:4
• Twos – Threes 1:6
• Fours – Fives 1:7

Enrollment

Enrollment in Playschool is for the period of one school year (September-May). Enrollment is on a first come first served basis. Once all spaces are filled, a waiting list will be formed.

Tuition for the 2010 – 2011 School Year
One time registration fee of $75 per child, plus the first months tuition is required at registration.
Ages are as of September 1, 2010
Birth – 11 Months Thursday 9am – 2 pm $75 per month
1 Year Olds – 4 Year Olds Monday and Thursday 9am – 2 pm $150 per month
