Born into a Christian home, the eighth minister in the family, and now in his 62nd year of ministry, Dr. Skip Smith serves as Personal Assistant to Dr. John Morgan. Skip was the Senior Pastor at four Baptist churches in the Houston area for 37 years. He served in the US Navy in WWII. Skip holds a Bachelor of Arts from U of H, a Master of Science from Baylor, a Doctor of Philosophy from Louisiana Christian University, a Doctor of Christian Counseling and a Doctor of Divinity from the International Christian Institute and Graduate School. He and his wife, Anita, have been married for 52 years; and they have two children and five grandchildren. Skip served eight years as a Trustee of the Southern Baptist International Mission Board. He has served on the staff at Sagemont Church for over 14 years. He has also conducted a weekly radio program on KHCB-FM for 45 years.
