Dixon Murrah is a Southern Baptist minister, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and approved by the state of Texas as a supervisor of Licensed Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists.

Prior to his being called into the ministry, he was a space engineer with NASA. In that function during the Apollo program, he headed the Apollo Trajectory Analysis Section and later in the Space Shuttle program, he managed the payload/Shuttle interface and was the Assistant Mission Evaluation Room Manager. God called him from "outer space" to "inner space."

Dixon has been married to Lois for over 30 years, they have 6 children and 6 grandchildren. He teaches the Blended Families IConnect class and teaches special lessons for other classes. He has been on the staff at Sagemont for over 20 years. He developed the Counseling Ministry of Sagemont Church and directed it for 15 years. Currently he directs the Restoration Ministry of Sagemont Church which is a ministry to ministers of various denominations. This ministry takes place primarily via counseling and a week-long conference for pastors and spouses entitled, “Stress in the Ministry.”
