Aric Harding has served as the Student Worship Leader at Sagemont Church since January 2000. He loves his job because he gets to hang out with the coolest students all the time. It definitely keeps him in touch with society. God is always changing the world with teenagers, and ours are no different. In addition to his responsibilities with students Aric leads out in worship for the Awaken service that began August of 2007. It is a worship gathering that is pushing to the 20s and 30s. Aric grew up in Dayton, Texas, a small town northeast of Houston. He says it is the drink stop on your drive to Beaumont. He loved growing up there where everybody knew everybody. Aric’s parents and his older brother, Lars, attended First Baptist Church in Dayton the whole time he was in school. His dad was the music minister while he was growing up, so Aric was there for all of the choir practices and services, since his mom also played the piano. It really grew him up with a love for the Lord and music, which not only endures but grows everyday. Aric went to Baylor University for a little over four years, and then God brought him here to Sagemont. Since then he married the love of his life, Glenna, and they have been blessed with two children. One son named Rylor, he’s their joy, and their daughter Everett, the little blue eyed beauty. They are also expecting another baby in December of 2008. "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
