Russell Cravens leads and teaches "Awaken" which is the Sunday morning gathering designed for people who connect in a more contemporary worship setting. Also, Russell has weekly opportunities to minister directly to the college-age young adults of Sagemont Church. He has been married to Jeanie since they both graduated from Houston Baptist University in 1999. In addition to having a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Christianity, Russell is nearing completion of a Masters of Divinity with Biblical Languages at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He most enjoys spending time with Jeanie and his three beautiful children, but also finds time to enjoy reading, discovering new restaurants or coffee shops, and exercising. On occasion, one could also find Russell rooting on any one of the professional sports teams in Houston.
